Frequently asked questions
How long do I have access to a course?
Self‑paced courses include lifetime access with future updates. Live cohorts include replays for 12 months after the cohort ends.
Do I need expensive tools to start?
No. Our beginner tracks use economical, widely available tools. We specify recommended brands only to indicate characteristics like pH‑neutral adhesives and clean‑cut blades.
What is the difference between levels?
Beginner builds foundations and tool safety. Intermediate adds layered layouts and special finishes. Advanced covers complex mechanisms, precision tolerances, and editorial design systems.
Are courses suitable for classrooms or clubs?
Yes. Our lessons include timing guides, group prompts, and printable checklists to support small group facilitation.
Do you provide certificates?
Yes. On completion, you receive a digital certificate from Mildgate Paper Arts indicating hours and learning outcomes.
What is your refund policy?
Self‑paced courses: 14‑day refund if under 20% progress. Live cohorts: full refund up to 7 days before start; 50% refund within 7 days of start; no refunds after the second live session. See Terms.
Can I gift a course?
Yes. After purchase, contact support and we will assign access to the recipient.
How do updates work?
We revise lessons to reflect new tools and best practices. Self‑paced students receive updates at no extra cost; we post change logs in the course dashboard.
Do you offer accessibility accommodations?
We provide captions, transcripts, high‑contrast slides, and step timings. If you need alternatives, reach out via Contact.
